What's the difference?
A support coordinator and a specialist support coordinator sound similarand function similarly, but look after different NDIS categories ofsupport.Support coordination will help you plan and implement your supportsand programs that are funded by the NDISSpecialist support coordination will help if you have additional or morecomplex needs that can be funded by the NDIS as well as othercommunity providers. Some of these needs could include:Psychological and mental health supportOngoing support from a social workerOther supports are usually provided by support workers, allied healthpractitioners and others who assist you on a day-to-day basis.This could include home support.
